July 4th Violence in the Queen City: The Rest of the Story

Fireworks? Check. Beer? Check. AK-47? Check. Looks like it was just another peaceful July 4th in the Queen City.
   Or was it?
First, here is the "official" arrest list distributed at 12:30 AM by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police: Disorderly conduct (5), Fireworks (3), Possession drugs (3), Urinating in public (2), Impeding traffic (9), Carrying Concealed Weapon (2) (one was and AK-47), Intoxication (10), Impeding arrest (1), resisting arrest (1).
Unfortunately, it appears that the above list only included criminals' activities uptown.
The list above is pretty tame compared to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Watch Commander's report for the end of the day July 4 through the early morning hours of July 5. Check it out and watch the bullets fly.

WHY would anyone NEED to take a AK-47 anywhere? Are they afraid of something/someone that they need that much protection? Or just looking for trouble? This person is truly insecure.

Insecure?!? I'd call him very *secure* with that AK-47, but I'd also call him very criminal. We need to check his house for what he left behind.
